Mix it up! That’s Anne Davidson’s motto, owner of Mixed Up Designs. Her line of jewelry is all about the unexpected mix of vintage and new materials designed with an eye for style and ease. It all works together in my electric way. Patina metal contrasts nicely with shiny bits and pieces. Copper is more beautiful set against silver. Vintage crystals are more irredesant contrasted next to textured metals. It’s all about the search for found objects, new and old. A design may start with a vintage clip earring that no longer has a mate. Or broken bits that find a new home in new designs that work great for today yet remember the past. There is a story behind each piece, each component, and its ultimate composition.
